Hello readers. As you have probably guessed, I was asked to leave Cairo as protests continued to escalate and the immediate future of what life in Egypt would resemble became less clear. I am now back in the Tintin central of Brussels where my priority is figuring out my next move, but I will surely return soon to post my thoughts on the last week in Cairo. In the meanwhile, please enjoy this wonderful illustration of yours truly as Captain Haddock that the hugely talented Sam Alden made of me in my current state of transit. “Blistering Barnacles” is a much more polite version of what I’ve been muttering lately.
